menu language issue with HD-A2?
I just receive the HD-A2 today, upgraded firmware from 1.3 to 1.6 and performed setup. For all of the Language options I selected English.
I did not receive any HD-DVDs yet to give it a proper test so I put in disc 1 of the new Rio Bravo:SE SD-DVD I rented to test upconversion and here are the menu language problems I noticed:
1. I let the main menu play through its cycle(about 1 minute) once and when it went to cycle back and play it again, the main menu language had changed to Spanish for this second iteration. If I go back to the main menu or reload the disc, this is 100% repeatable (English the first time, Spanish the second).
2. From the special features menu, I selected the Commentary which loaded a sub-menu to turn it on or off. However, the On option is always in Korean while the Off option is in English. This never changes.
Since I just got the HD-A2 I haven't had time to check out many other discs yet. Does anyone else see the same issue? This is the first time I have ever seen anything like this since it never occurred on my Sony dvd player and I'm unsure if my HD-A2 has a problem processing my language selections. If so, Is there some setup I need to adjust or can I report this to Toshiba CS for some future firmware release?
Thanks.
