Anyone order the A2 from Value Electronics?
I bought my A2 from Value Electronics because of the sale that is presently going on. And because AVS thinks Value Electronics is god and the owner posts on there. Anyway anyone order one this week or in the past? How do they handle orders? I got a receipt email on monday after I ordered it and NOTHING since. My CC has not been charged anything yet. Quite ridiculous that it's taking 4 days and the order hasn't been charged yet let alone shipped. Anyone else waiting?

I bought my A2 from them when the unit was first released last December. They have great customer service, so I would just give them a call and ask when your order should ship.

I also ordered mine from there earlier this week on the advice of a friend. I'm not too worried about it—it'll get here when it gets here. I'm willing to wait awhile for three free HD DVDs of my choosing over and above the five from Toshiba.

Robert (the owner) posted today saying they they've depleted their stock. They're expecting a new shipment soon and will continue to send them out asap.
I've dealt with Value Electronics in the past. My order was totally screwed up. But Robert went above and beyond to make sure that everything was taken care of when all was said and done. Like any company they're not perfect. But their customer service is some of the best I've ever experienced. So you should feel very comfortable in your decision to buy there.
Of course I went to CostCo last Sunday and got my player for $250. I didn't get all the free extras, but I did have it home 20 minutes later.

My only regret in buying my player from Amazon not long ago is that Costco now has them at such a great price- Not because I would have gotten it for $50 less, but because of Costco's unbeatable return policy. I would gladly pass up a few free movies to have it right away and get their return policy.

I just read the response on AVS. So it's all good. Even if VE's website looks like it was made with Geocities.
I thought about Costco but the nearest one is in Des Moines which is about 1.5 hours away and I'm not a member.

Re-reading my post above, I don't mean to imply that buying at Value Electronics wasn't the right move. I've heard nothing but good things about them. I was simply responding to MEJHarrison's post.

I called yesterday because I had received no emails or charges from VE, and was told that their stock was depleted and would be refilled on Tuesday. They should begin shipping them after that.
I would have bought from Costco if I knew anyone who was a member, but I wasn't in any real hurry. I've waited a year for HD, what's another week? And I refuse to pay for the priveledge of shopping at any store.
