HD-DVD on 27" TV

With the $299 HD-DVD players next week, I'm thinking about upgrading for my bedroom.

Has anyone seen HD-DVD's on a 27" HDTV? Is there a difference over DVD?

You *should* notice a difference, but if you sit more than a few feet, around 3.5+, the difference won't be too drastic.

Before I upgraded, I had a 26" 16x9 LCD TV. I could absolutely tell the difference, even when I was 6' away.

You should notice a difference. Watch a few HD DVDs and then go back and watch a dvd, and you'll notice how soft the dvd image compares to the HD DVD.

30" tube HDTV, definitely notice a difference. Watching DVDs now is like watching through a haze.

26" LCD, definetly notice a difference. Of course, its more obvious when I'm watching on the 55".

I've got a Toshiba HD-A2, PS3, and X-Box 360. They all look unbelievably good on my 26" Wide Samsung CRT.

I got a 30 inch LG crt hdtv. Looks amazing when I somehow steal some hd channels. I am jumping on this deal to take advantage of my tv though.
