I never have before but just hit two in a row. The only good thing was that they were combo discs, so I watched the standard one. That sucked, but it could have sucked worse. Basically, I would get the "Universal" opening, and then an error message going to the main menu. This was for Miami Vice and Children of Men.

No problems here. In fact, even though I have Blockbuster All Access, I still use NetFlix exclusively for HD-DVDs. Blockbuster sucks with HD-DVD support.

For instance, "Dreamgirls", is still listed as "Coming Soon" on Blockbuster's website. I got it from NetFlix the day it was release.

Anyway, it could just be that the person who had it last treated it like crap. Were there visible scratches on them?

I didn't see big scratches, but they weren't perfect, either.

I've received about 40 HD discs from Netflix so far and I think I've had trouble with two.

I've only had problems with You, Me and Dupree. But it was pretty scratched up. I've gotten 10 or so others that were perfect.

I have rented close to 50 HD-DVDs from Netflix and have never had a problem. I must be one of the lucky 30% who didn't have issues with Children of Men, Good Shepard, and Smoking Aces...

From: Rainy ass Seattle yes the weather sucks here, so do our sports teams.
Watched about 7 HD DVD's from Netflix, and the only minor skipping issues I had was on Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, it was scratched to shit too so that could have been it.

I've only watched about 3 HD discs from Netflix so far, but each of them froze up on my player with the 2.0 firmware. I haven't tried any with the 2.2 yet.

I've only had trouble with on HD-DVD disc from them. It was Miami Vice. Tried it on two different players. It didn't work on either.

I have yet to have trouble with HD DVDs, but have had at least 3 Blu-ray discs that had scratches and would not play. Blu-ray is really not designed for the rental market.

I've rented 30+ HD DVD and 10+ BD's. I've had problems with 2. Italian Job was craked almost in 2.

^ Yes, and Netflix claims to have every USA HD DVD release. Now, if they would only pick up some of the overseas discs...

I've probably rented 40 by now, and have only had 2 that locked up.
