Cool, Will Smith's afro in hi-def . Kocheese, any listings on Day After Tomorrow or Eragon BD's coming in March? Fox put out a press release in UK with those titles listed for March in addition to ones that we got here already.

Nothing listed for either of those yet. There's only a few movies that are not listed on Grubert's list yet such as Curse of the Golden Flower. I'll keep posting them whenever i notice any new ones.

Review is up for Chicago at highdefdigest.

Seems the BD-50 still can't fit all the extras from SD DVD.

What did they leave off? I was watching it yesterday and it had tons of extras on there. Great transfer and PCM track, BTW.

Check the TWO disc SE that came out a couple of years ago. THAT had a ton of extras...and even that left some extras off that are otherwise available.

In fairness, I upgraded from the original 1-disc SD-DVD, so I've never owned the 2-disc set. But at least it looks like they ported over most of the extras. Why they can't fit them all on a 50 GB disc is beyond me though.

Actually, in looking at the specs from the 2-disc edition (which I used to own), it doesn't look as though they left anything off the Blu-Ray version. Everything seems to be there. Am I missing something?

In re-reviewing them, I do see that "Chita Rivera's Encore" is missing. Still, not bad for Blu-Ray (as much as I've also criticized them for leaving off bonus features, at least Disney is trying to some degree...if anyone is to be criticized, it's Fox and MGM).

...and a bunch of other stuff, including the VH1 special.

Not according to highdefdigest:

Most but not all of those supplements have been ported over to Blu-ray, with only some of fluffier extras nixed (including a VH-1 special) and it holds up as a pretty good package
.

I'll check again, but I could have sworn I was watching it the other night.

There is a 25 minute "making of" special that aired on TV, I believe. They're different.

The VH1 was about 50 minutes I believe.

I'm at work right now, so I can't check, but at least according to the online specs at bvhebluray.com, there's the "From Stage to Screen: The History of Chicago" special, which is the 25-minute making of, and then there's the "Behind-the-Scenes Special," which, after comparing the specs at http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=3926, seems to be the VH1 special.

I'll check when I get home.

Nope

The VH1 special and the behind the scenes special are two different things.

They left off the VH1 and the Chita Rivera. Not horrible. It's better than most. But still, i honestly expect perfection from a format that's constantly boasting about it's superior storage.

Nice! That is one movie (well many others) when I watched thought to myself how awesome it would look like in HD.

The Holiday BD will come day and date with SD on March 20 for $39. Extras will be identical on both: A commentary track and making-of featurette.

A really bad chick flick starring Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Kate Winslet, and Jack Black. Not worth $39.99. Not even worth $3.99.
