I thought this movie was very entertaining. But I didn't feel compelled to cough up another $9 to go to the theater a second time, let alone $500+ for a ps3 just for this movie. I suppose it could push someone over the edge as an example of more quality movies coming to BD as exclusives?

I went looking for this title at my local hot spots over the past few days. This is probably the first title I have not seen put out early. I saw Hoosiers on the rack though.

Actually, I can't believe anyone would buy a BR player (or an HD-DVD player for that matter) for one specific movie... then again, there could be some exaggerating going on.

The deciding reason when I got into LD was the Star Wars THX box set, and the party I wanted to throw. $700 for the player, $250 for the movies. I got my dad to pay for the pizzas.

I knew I would get other BD movies, but Casino Royale was the title that made me actually go for it.

Should anyone go by Circuit City to check pricing, could you please post it? I'm not expecting anything less than $29.99, but sometimes they mis-ticket their high-def movies.

Fry's had it for $26.99 if you have a store in your vicinity.

Did you actually read both reviews? He makes many of the same points that I do. The only real difference is that our final scores are within half a star of each other.

The HD trailer I d/l on my PS3 was awesome. Based on it and Josh Z's review, I went to get at CC. I couldn't find it! The store was about to close so my wife picked up the SD version of Holiday and we were on our way. I might check tomorrow somewhere.

I checked Best Buy and Circuit City both tonight and they were both sold out. Ugh.

Yup, I walked into Best Buy around 6pm and grabbed the last Blu-ray copy off the shelf. I felt like the luckiest guy alive. Saw a couple of other people look for it in the Blu-ray section as I was leaving. There was a girl who was wheeling out tons more copies of Bond on DVD, so maybe there were more BDs in the back? Either way, I was way happy...

Mine are on the way from Amazon, but I was in Best Buy this morning to pick up a CD, and I saw they only had about 15 copies of Casino Royale, and about 4 copies of Layer Cake.

No kidding. It's gonna be tough watching any of the previous Bond flicks on SD-DVD after seeing(and hearing) this. This is the main reason I got a PS3 a few months back and I was not disappointed at all.

Wow, I can't find this disc anywhere. Went to a whole bunch of the few stores in my area that have HD/Blu (Target, Hastings, Best Buy) and none of them have it in stock. I really want to watch this movie again. It's weird, too, cause I just saw it in the theater for the second time at the end of January. Maybe not being able to get it is making me want to watch it even more.

It was stickered $29.99, but I took in a printout of the frys.com page with the $22.99 price and got it from CC for $22.29. YMMV, especially if you don't have a Frys in your area.

I couldn't find the disc either. I'll order it with Rocky, via Amazon, next week I guess.

For those who have the disc, did anyone experience playback problems? My Sony BD Player had a few freezes that required me to turn the unit completely off. No scratches on the disc or anything.
