PS3 Blu-ray Rebate Question

Question about the PS3 rebate on blu-ray movies. I've already done it about 5 times, but those movies were all on seperate receipts.

I just bought 2 more movies at the same time today, but since the rebates say it has to be original receipt I was wondering what I should do.

Has anyone had luck sending multiple rebates in the same envelope?

Yeah, that would be an awesome deal if you take advantage of the Best Buy deal AND the rebates.

It's actually much better if you buy from Amazon...but I seem to be bashing my head against a wall on that one.

Some people will pay slightly more to have them now versus in a few days or a week.

Cost is most important to me, but this slightly closed the gap between amazon and best buy. At least for this week.

For example, Bullitt says it ships in 4-6 weeks on amazon. Thats one that Ill probably go get today. Also, im gonna try to snag that 300 free ticket at BB.

What's this PS3 BRD deal (er...rebate) all about? Is it only available in the States?

In the box of PS3, you will see a booklet of BR rebates... $10 from each studio. If you know someone don't need the booklet, then you don't need to buy a PS3 to do the rebate. The notion PS3 BRD is referring to the original deal...

Hi all, is there an "official" PS3 BR rebate thread? You know, one with questions about cutting out UPCs and stuffs?

Does anyone know the rebate is only limited to the movies pictured on the booklet or just any movie from the shown studios?

How about the Mission Impossible set, the one with all three movies, does that qualify the rebate?

thanks in advance!

Was this only in the PS3 box when it was first released? My brother just got a PS3 and he says he didn't see any rebates or coupons in the box. Maybe he accidentally tossed them?

I'm not sure about that... i found mines in the PS3 box and i brought it used too. I'm searching for an "official" thread, so that people can request rebate coupons (from the booklet) from people who don't need all of them (there's a rebate coupon for each studio).

I have the rebate booklet but I'm extremely hesitant about cutting the upc's off the artwork. Wish there was another way... similar to those tabs they used to have on Warner snapper case DVDs.

i have not taken advantage of the rebate deal specifically because i can not fathom cutting UPCs out.

I would doubt that you get them back....These companies look for any excuse not to give rebate money.

$10 for speed doesn't phase me, if I don't get it back.

None of the other titles are interesting other than T2 and Crash...and I'll be getting both of those on HD DVD, probably.

My PS3 that I got this weekend did not have the coupons. I'm interested in getting them from anyone who doesn't want them. Please PM me. Thanks.

I got my rebate for Speed last week, took about 3-4 weeks. Just made a copy of the UPC using a normal color printer and sent it along with my rebate form and my receipt.

I did the same with The Descent (sent last week) and am waiting for the rebate.

Got 2 of my rebates back so far, bought on separate receipts so that wasn't an issue.

Cut out and sent in the original UPC which bothered me for maybe 2 seconds. But I'd rather have $10 than that 1" x 1" bar code. Don't even see it when it's on the shelf anyway, but I understand that some of you get a little crazy with your disc packaging...

Just wish there were more choices for these rebates, pretty lame that we get 3 to choose from.

My PS3 had no rebates that I know of. The first one I bought had the rebates and Talladega Nights.

Are people getting them without the movie?

I know Talladega only came with the first 500K units. I guess the rebates ended as well. I got zip in mine. I'm considering running down a copy of the theatrical Talladega. I actually preferred it to the uncut version I bought.
