Probably not the best disc to see a great HD picture. I popped it in just to check it, and the picture looked good, but not great detail. Some scenes may be better though. I just got a new receiver (Denon 887) that does the PCM & DTS HD, and I had to FF through it to make sure my receiver was working right- it was my first DTS HD after a few PCM 5.1s. Most scenes sounded mono. I found a scene that expanded to the L & R fronts, but had to find a shootout to hear anything from the rears. So it's not a great audio showcase either. I got 3 other Lionsgates' BluRays this week that all had DTS HD (First Blood, Reservoir Dogs, & American Psycho- which says DTS ES on the menu, but says DTS HD on the box & is HD), and even First Blood had more seperation than Young Guns. The opening song in Dogs sounded great & I'm getting ready to watch Psycho now. But Young Guns was pretty weak from what I heard so far & good, but not great in video.

I only checked a few scenes, so it may be good overall. The sound seemed pretty bad though. First Blood looked & sounded great from what I saw. The only one I watched completely was American Psycho, which sounded great & looked great after the credits- the opening was soft & colored strange, which made me think the picture was going to be horrible. What's the address for the AVS site?

Put a pile of horseshit in front of that guy, tell him it's in HD and he'll write a 10 page review about how it's the best HD version of horseshit he's ever seen....with just the right amount of intended grain.
