Will my TV work with HD-DVD?
Hey guys, sorry to bog down the forum but I was looking to take the HD-DVD plunge.
I wanted to make sure my TV will support it.

I think it only goes to 1080i. Don't you need a HDTV that has 1080p?
Also, should I wait for a player that plays both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD or should I just go ahead and get HD-DVD?
Thanks!
Saxon

Yes, the A2/XA2 will do HD over component, which your TV has. The A2 does 1080i only, so you don't have to worry about 1080p.
The only place you'll lose is that they won't upconvert regular DVDs over component, you'll just get the standard def playback.

Toshiba's current HD-DVD player models.
HD-A2 is the "entry" player, while the HD-XA2 is the "feature full" version (and noticably more expensive).

Yep. I've seen cases where the component actually looks *better* than HDMI.
