Question about HD DVD/BlueRay exclusives

I was checking through the release calendar & saw a few selections that were listed as Blue Ray exclusives, like First Blood & Reign of Fire, but I also saw that these were already released in an HD DVD format (imports). How accurate is the release calendar info, or what exactly does 'exclusive' mean? I'm not bashing anyone that puts their time into making the list, but I'm on the fence of buying a BD player (PS3) just so I can see some movies that are listed as BD exclusives, like the Saw trilogy & Con-Air, as well as others.

Just because it's an exclusive to Blu-ray doesn't mean it wont get released on HD DVD in another country. Different studios over seas have different rights to different movies. Thus, this is why you are seeing Blu-ray exclusives in the US being released on HD DVD in different countries.
