Dreamworks: MIA?
Now that New Line seems to be at least intending to release on HD (when, what and how remain to be seen), it seems that the one major holdout for HD material is Dreamworks, and with such anxiously-awaited titles as Gladiator, Shrek, American Beauty, Spielberg films, etc., it's unfortunate that they haven't indicated anything yet. I know the rumors suggested that they would announce something at CES, but it doesn't seem that they did.
So what's the holdup? Rights issues? Economic? Spielberg's reticence to dive into new formats? It seems like a natural time for them to start, what with the obvious tie-in for Shrek the Third. Thoughts? Rumors? Information?

Did you not read the CES thread? They DID announce. They will be distributing through Paramount, but on the format that DW specifies.
Personally, I would not be surprised to see them go to TotalHD.

I did read the CES thread and the most I saw was that, prior to CES, there was a rumor from someone on AVS that said that stuff about DCM and all that. However, in that same rumor, it was said that Lionsgate would be going over to HD DVD (and maybe Disney) and that New Line would announce titles. Those things didn't happen (outside of New Line saying LOTR would be out someday), and as far as I know, Dreamworks didn't announce anything, either.
EDIT: I found the quote. It was in the General HD DVD section: http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showpost.ph...&postcount=329
Virtually none of that actually happened.
