OOP Equilibrium Import HD-DVD Available for Pre-Order Again at Exploited

Just a head's up, I just grabbed one...not sure how OOP it really is now lol.
Link
Pre-order now, & it will ship by January 3rd, usually a little sooner from recent experience.

I second that. I've ordered quite a few HD DVDs from them and they're always top-notch. That Equillibrium tranfer is great also.

I think they did a second pressing, so it really isn't OOP anymore.

Yeah, it's a reprint. Not sure if I want to pay $50 for this movie though - never seen it and that's an expensive blind buy.

It's a awesome movie... government makes feeling illegal through a drug/medication it gives everyone. If you feel emotions, you get your ass killed. Some people rebel, a few get killed, very good Action-SciFi flick. Rent it, it suprised the hell out of me.

I'd love to have this on HD DVD as it is a favorite from recent years, but $50 is quite high. Why are you guys paying so much for it? Is there no chance of a U.S. release? If that's the case, I may get it. Otherwise, I can stick with my standard DVD for the time being.

Along the lines of OOP imports... Wasn't Running Scared limited to like 200,000 copies or something to that effect?

I thought I read that the original pressing of Equilibrium was only 4,000 copies. 200,000 copies sounds like an awful lot for an overseas HD DVD.

Does anyone know if the 2nd release come in the new HD DVD casing? I'm willing to pay $50 with the new casing. The main reason why i'm not buying the first release is that the amaray case that it comes with is UGLY.

It's a solid HDDVD release and a great movie. What kind of case it comes really isn't that big a deal IMO. You can always make your own custom cover anyway.

I just ordered Equilibrium...had some friends over Friday night and they all said they would really like to watch it again...in HD. So I bit the bullet. Now, I'm just hoping it gets here by the 8th (I upgraded to Priority shipping) so one of my good friends can watch it before he ships out on his sub again.

Just modify an existing custom cover from one of the sites. I did that on some of mine. Just covered the word DVD with HD-DVD on the cover and made the spine look like hd-dvd releases. Turned out great.

You can cut and paste from existing hd-dvd cover art on the net. I did it with microsoft photo edit and MS paint.

I was talking about a custom english cover. I bet there is one on replacethecase or another cover site. Then, you just cut and paste and print.

Believe me, im no wiz when it comes to this either. Takes me about 10 minutes to mock one up from an existing one. Ill send you my hd-dvd label jpgs and if you wanna use them in the future you can. Ill also send you an example of one that I did recently.
