the writeup was amusing. I find it funny that not too many are impressed with the PS3. Sure it's a powerful machine with a BluRay player but is it TOO much?

I'm a Woot addict and I normally check these every night when they roll over. They've had a lot of crap lately, so last night I turned in early.

If it were a Wii or the 60gb model I'd be kicking myself right now.

And apparently there is a Best Buy in Texas that does have the same stock at the exact time as the one in Des Moines.

All I'm saying is to go to Best Buy and look because it looks like Best Buy just got a huge allotment for their stores.

Actually I have been to 2 Best Buys in the Detrooit Michigan Area that had both the 20 and 60 gig versions in stock. One had 10 60Gig and 4 20 gig and the other had 6 60 gig and 3 20 gig. I think what he was saying is that its becoming not so difficult to find them now so there isnt really a need to order one from online. If your interested in buying one its at least worth looking into before you order.

The only reason why it's more readily available now because those buyers are not making any money from selling on eBay. Now, it allows consumer who wants to be able to buy it at regular price. I actually see people losing money on eBay, trying to sell the PS3. I saw several PS3 60 GB going for $650. As a seller, they're losing money because they need to pay eBay and Paypal expenses.

I've been to several Wal-Mart stores in Iowa and there are PS3's available, right in the case, and people aren't even paying attention.

Second, just because there is no "upsell" on PS3 does not make the PS3 a dud. That's bizzare logic and has no correlation with the success of the system.
Third, money is tight right now, and most people have spent their christmas money. $500-600 is alot to swing for most people, and that has a major factor.
Fourth, to call a system that has been out for five weeks a "DUD" is misguided and wrong.
