Picked up the XBox 360 and the HD DVD add on last week. I was set to watch the included copy of Peter Jackson's King Kong HD DVD.
The Universal logo trailer comes up and plays fine but then the HD DVD locks up. I press play and an error screen comes up reading "Cannot play the disc. Error code : 0x81000c03".
Anyone else have this problem?

Works fine on mine. Never have had any problems with any movies I own with the HD-DVD add on.

Do you have all the updates from Live?

I've watched this quite a few times on both the XBox HD-DVD Drive and my A-1, no problems on either.

do other HD-DVDs play fine on the player? Or is that the only one you own?

That is a windows error, are you trying to watch it connected to your 360, or via your computer?

Not on this disc. I did get an error on Miami Vice a few times when I tried to look at some of the extras.

Actually I didn't watch it on the XBox, I watched it on the XA1. I'll try on the XBox unit and see if that works. Thanks all.

Yeah, to be able to properly watch King Kong in the XA1 you must have firmware 2.0

Took the disc and checked it out in the XBox 360 HD drive. Played fine. Now off to upgrade the XA1. Thanks for all the help!

i had a problem with the lack of extended cut, and lack of second disc FULL of extras.
