The Matrix HD-DVD?

Anyone know when Warner is planning The Matrix for HD-DVD? Every time I pop in a Warner HD-DVD and you get that "commercial" for "Welcome to HD-DVD" - you see clips of The Matrix (and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire).

The Matrix sure will get people to buy HD Just like the DVD did back in 1999...

Thanks
Christian

These are films that would definitely benefit from some of the new interactive features, so I'm hoping they are finishing up those for the release.

I'd gladly buy all three but, as I don't plan on letting go of my 10 disc set any time soon, I hope there's a budget release of the trilogy, as I don't see what else could be added (even considering IME) in terms of special features.

I would probably just get the first movie. I'm gonna pretend the others don't exist.

I loved all three, I'm first in line for a box set, no matter the cost. It's one of the few untouchables that I'll double dip everytime.

I only own 3 HD movies, but The Matrix is shown in the HD clip at the beginning, as well as the picture of the HD DVD case on the paper inside the case. I'm glad it's not a BlueRay title, but let's have it already!!

Since it is Warner Bros. it will be out on both HD DVD and Blu-ray.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Batman Begins is one of the title that will be on Blu-ray relatively soon when Warner starts its "catch-up" BR initiative.

I read somewhere that it will be a dual release in BD and HS-DVD

makes sense...guess it's just a matter of time when all films are released on DVD, HD and BR at the same time.

I wouldn't expect this nor the batman films to come out until HD-DVD has a higher market. While clearly these releases would sell players, I think they want to have a bigger base first.

I would have thought that for Batman Begins since that edition would sell the most out of any of them I think, but its been out for a couple months now

Is it just me, or does the Matrix footage in the HD DVD commercial look like regular old SD? Looks nothing like the Matrix broadcasts on premium channels.

It probably is as they either haven't started work or are just starting to work on the HD releases. Though you'd think they could easily round up some HD footage.

Yep, these will have IME and TrueHD. Its my understanding that they are in the works now.

Im curious if they will come out for BD at the same time or be like Batman Begins and no show.
