Just saw this over at AVS, DeepDiscount.com has a bunch of Disney Blu-Rays on sale. Most are $22.95, a couple are $18.95. Most of these are $23.95 or higher at Amazon.

Thanks for the heads up. I bought one last week for $272.88. Now it's $255.88. Time to get my price adjustment!

i'm sorry but this thread really stinks... deals back from Nov of last year? come on, this is confusing... To check for deals, i have to skim few posts back since last time visited...

BUY.com got up to 49% off sale:

Chicken little is pretty good at $12 after google (i missed the $10 PS3 rebate, sigh, else it would have been $3-ish).

Definitely, $59.45 delivered.

^ What's the 10% off Amazon deal?

lizard 07-09-07 11:28 AM

^ Those of us who bought players or HD discs from Amazon last year get 10% off the price of HD DVDs or BDs for the rest of this year. The deal is no longer available for new customers.

yeldarb367 07-09-07 12:00 PM

Wow.

I'm jealous.

Well, given that the OP is banned, it's not surprising that it isn't updated often. ;)

I assume that if there's someone out there that is willing to maintain such a list, the mods would be more than happy to replace this thread.

I agree. I still say they should add a sub forum to the HD Talk forum just for bargains. There would not be alot of posts but that way each deal could have its own thread. It seems like there are more and more deals popping up each week for both formats. It is only going to get worse as we approach the 4th quarter. The only way to make sure people don't miss something would be to have a subforum. Anybody else agree?

Amazon (thru Tiger Direct) has the A2 for $199

Some chatter that this may be a refurb. Amazon listing makes no mention of such.

Bugger, anyone know if there's a good discount coupon that's still active for the warner brothers site, and if so, what the code is? I've forgotten what thread I'd seen the info at in the past.

For the record Sam's Club has the BDP-S300 for $448, though I didn't see the bundle offer.

Wal-Mart Offers New Blu-ray Player/Disc Bundle
Fri Jul 13, 2007 at 07:55 AM ET
Tags: High-Def Retailing, Wal-Mart (all tags)

Attention Wal-Mart shoppers: In the latest high-def bundle deal to hit retail, the big box discount chain is giving away two Blu-ray discs to consumers who buy Sony's BDP-S300 Blu-ray Player at a new low price.

Wal-Mart's price for the Sony player is $488, which represents a new low price record for a Blu-ray player (both the BDP-S300 and the PS3 are available elsewhere for $499).

To further sweeten the pot, Wal-Mart is also throwing in two free Blu-ray discs with purchase of the BDP-S300 -- 'Gridiron Gang' and 'Open Season,' both from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Combined with the BDA's recently announced "Five Discs Free" promo, that's a total seven free Blu-rays for lucky Wal-Mart shoppers.

The latest deal from Wal-Mart follows a similar promotion at Amazon, tied to the PS3. As we reported earlier this week, that deal sees Amazon customers buying the PS3 receiving a free PS3 Blu-ray remote, a copy of 'Memento' on Blu-ray, plus the BDA's five free discs.

Wal-Mart is offering this promotion to customers online at Walmart.com and in its stores nationwide. The company says the offer is limited and only good while supplies last.

Deal appears to be dead (as Amazon deals are wont to do). It's up to $254.xx now, which is still pretty dang good.

I can confirm the WBWEL coupon still works as I just used it yesterday

It would make things easier. Then I wouldn't have to come into this thread only to find out the only new discussions are about BD players.

And it'll make it easier for me to ignore all the HD DVD posts when all I'm looking for are the Blu-ray Disc posts.

Adam Tyner 07-17-07 02:09 PM

Be sure to post the subforum suggestion in the Feedback forum.

Best Buy has quite a few Lionsgate Blu-ray titles for an additional 20% off.

With in-store shipping, the $39.99 MSRP titles are cheaper than ordering from Amazon. Just ordered The Descent for $24 and change.
