THE LAKE HOUSE HD question...?
Has THE LAKE HOUSE been delayed from its original 9/26 release date on both HD-DVD & Blu-Ray? I can't find any sites taking pre-orders on this title. Anyone...?

It hasn't been delayed, as far as I know (apparently the official announcement, complete with cover art, arrived this week), but it is a Warner title, so you might not see pre-orders available until the last possible minute.

as a "combo disc." http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v4_ite...earchID=242492
I hate those "combo discs," too expensive. If we're buying an HD-DVD disc then just give us the HD version or we'd be purchasing the cheaper standard-def disc in the first place.

I just had the weirdest audio glitch when trying to watch this. All of the sound effects and score came through crystal clear but there was absolutely no audio for dialog...at all. I ended up having to reboot my whole system and got it to work on my second try. It was so strange. I've had audio go out of sync before and then eaisly fixed it by pressing pause and then play again. But I've never had, or read about anything like this before. It works fine now, but just wanted to know if anyone has heard of this. There was even no narration on the "What is HD DVD" promo at the start of the disc when I first played it, but the music was there. So strange.

Okay, but my receiver was set right if that's what you're getting at. I had just finished watching Tokyo Drift and then put The Lake House in. Tokyo Drift played fine, but I had that problem when The Lake House came on.
