Wireless adapter for HD-A1
What are some of you using for wireless ethernet adapters for your Toshiba HD-A1?
|
I'm using my wifi adaptor for my original Xbox. Works like a charm.

I got mine far cheaper because I bought it used from work (mucho discounts). There are other adaptors/bridges out there that will work just as well for a lower price, so if you don't already own this adaptor, I wouldn't suggest buying it. If you go to AVS there are a few threads in the HD DVD Hardware section that list specific units. |
Whats the purpose of this? For firmware updated?
|
Firmware updates and in the future, certain discs may support downloadable features.

Just ordered a Linksys WGA11B from amazon for $20. Not too bad! |
I have a question.
What will it download to? Is there a hard drive in there? Or memory? |

If you're connected through ethernet are the firmware updates automatic or do you choose to update it?

It's probably just some miniscule amount of flash memory built in for it.
|
Most likely.

I've been trying to update to 2.0 for the past two days and I can't get it past 40%. Anyone else having a problem updating via ethernet? I didn't have any problems going from 1.0 to 1.2 then 1.4.
