Chicken Little & Pirates both confirmed to be BD50. Theres at least 1 release in there with 7.1 sound as well. Im pretty sure that its safe to assume all big name disney titles will be BD50's. Japan and US are both Region 1, so all of those releases listed will work on US machines such as a PS3.

Are any of these going to be VC-1, or are they still MPEG2?

Most of the Warners should be VC-1. The rest probably MPEG2.

Is that Air as in the band?

I might have to get that even if I don't have a Blu-Ray player.

No, it's an anime series. No English subtitles.

Okay, I kind of understand why Sony doesn't go with VC1, but why would the other studios? Surely they have seen the quality difference.

Its been stated, however i dont have a link handy for you, that Disney has never considered MPEG2 for any of their films on BD. I beleive it will be either AVC or VC-1. We'll see soon enough with the first Buena Vista titles.

BTW, not sure if anyone else noticed that Pearl Harbor is listed as a title for this year. Thats one HECK of a long movie! Severly doubt MPEG2 is being used on that one, even with BD50.
