Unlike AVS, things here tend to be more orderly and less repetitive. AVS is an absolute mess with pointless threads everytime someone takes a piss or picks up an HD DVD.

I would have never known these titles were announced if it wasn't for a dedicated thread on AVS on the topic. Not everyone pages through that schedule thread every day hoping something new is announced. Just tryin' to spread the love.

We just like things clean and neat around here.
AVS has some great nuggets of information but they are sloppy as hell.
You can have 3 threads on the exact same topic at any point in time. You seriously have to sift through the crap to get to the gold.

There isn't a fixed rule about what belongs in the release date thread and what deserves its own discussions.
My rule of thumb is that an initial announcement from a company (such as Paramount announcing its first HD DVDs) would get its own thread, and "megaton" titles like Superman Returns or Batman Begins would probably be highlighted that same way. I would personally put more "ordinary" announcements (such as these) in the release thread. That's subjective, but that's how I roll, homie.
So, anyway, since there already is discussion in that thread, and since this thread has served its purpose of letting people know, I'll go ahead and close it.
