Toshiba "3:2 pulldown" problem

All,

I posted this over at AVS but was wondering if anyone here might be able to help out.

I am having a problem with my Toshiba and I was wondering how I would go about speaking with them about it. I do author my own discs and had recently transferred some PAL material to NTSC. The discs work perfectly on my PC, stand-alone DVD burner and my portable player. However, when I try and play it on the Toshiba, it will stutter at times and I cannot figure out why. Does it just not like the 3:2 pulldown? Everything else seems to be perfectly fine.

If it's something simple, I'd love for it to be included in a future firmware. I just would love to try and make Toshiba aware of it.

What did you use to change the frame rate/resolution of the source?

I assume the Toshiba does not convert PAL discs -> NTSC, right? And have you tried the disc in another player that doesn't convert PAL -> NTSC?

yes. nothing else will convert it. But all will play it.

it's already been converted properly from PAL->NTSC. I've done tons of these discs.
