What is your first HD DVD purchase?

What is your first HD DVD purchase? I haven't brought any HD DVDs but Apollo 13, Swordfish, and Goodfellas will be my first HD DVD purchase, what about you?

Phantom of the Opera was my first disc purchase (I've watched it twice its so impressive) and Serenity was my first rental.

I've also purchased Last Samurai which I received today and haven't yet watched and will pick up Goodfellas this week.

I rented Apollo 13 and it was impressive in HD. So far the format has really impressed me and I now have no issue with upgrading any parts of my DVD library. Something I doubted I would do at first.

I'm waiting for Jarhead. That's the title that will push me into HD-DVD land. Would have been Rattle and Hum, but that one got pushed back to June.

Got TLS, POTO and Serenity when they came out, Apollo 13 and Doom (Whadda waste of $25!) when they came out, and I picked up Swordfish yesterday but haven't watched yet.

No interest in Million Dollar Baby or Goodfellas.

Best so far: Serenity, POTO (best demo material), and Apollo 13.

HD-DVDs looking forward to the most of those announced thus far: Van Helsing, Batman Begins, and V for Vendetta.

The Last Samurai was my first, which was nice since i love samurai flicks and TLS is one of my favorite movies. It just sucks that there are audio issues...

My first were Serenity and Phantom, but Serenity was my first experience with the new toy.

I can't believe you brought Doom, that movie was bad!

Yeah, me either.

But when you're looking for eye candy and there's only a handful of titles out there, what's a brother to do?

Wait for Batman Begins. There is no excuse to buy Doom. That movie was such a disipointment

To be fair this movie has been impossible to get from Netflix so there are plenty of people using it to show off their home theater.

Yeah I understand but a good idea is to rent movies to see if you like it or not before you buy so you can buy a movie that you like instead of wasting $$$
