Now, I could be thinking of something completely different, but I am pretty sure that is was DirecTV. Did this not happen? Or are the dates pushed back? Or am I just completely off my rocker and these commercials I am thinking about were for hair restoration or something?
I have a friend with TimeWarner and some channels look great, some look like crap.

Sigh. All I want is OTA in HD (which I may or may not be able to get -- Bloomington is 40-60 miles from the OTA broadcasters) NFL Sunday Ticket in HD, and a HD DVR to pull it all together.
Edited to add...
Update: Just got off the phone with a DTV HD CSR/Tech, who informed me that (a) Indy HD Locals* will be offered via satellite starting in Mid-May 06, which eliminates the need for an OTA antenna, and (b) they're rolling out a new HD DVR mid-summer which will be capable of working with the new MPEG-4 encoded HD local channels. Is this old news... dunno. But like they used to say on NBC, "if you haven't seen it before, it's new to you!".
*They'll be offering only ABC/CBS/FOX/NBC via Satellite, all encrypted w/MPEG-4. If I want any other terrestrial HD signal I'll need an OTA antenna. I'm willing to do without the expense and eyesore of an antenna that may or may not work, depending on if I'm in the HD broadcast footprint, just to get a couple of extra channels. My wife will just have to learn to live with Gilmore Girls in SD.
So, with Sunday Ticket HD, ESPN HD, and ABC/CBS/FOX/NBC HD, pretty much all of my HD Football and HD DVR needs will be addressed after mid-summer.

^ Hmmm, I didn't think the new HD DVR would have OTA tuners?
On a side note: I added the HD package when TNTHD started....and canceled it yesterday. Either I forgot just how horribly compressed the picture quality is or it's gotten a lot worse since I last had the HD package.

Yeah, PQ is the one thing that AVS forum bitches about. I still think it's better than what's out there right now in terms of the package as compared to cable or Dish. I'm keeping it.
