Anyone have the new Dish Network MPEG-4 HD receiver?
Hi all,
I recently placed an order though Dish for their new MPEG-4 receiver (I think the 211 model) that is supposed to get their newer HD channels, plus the Voom channels included. Local HD channels are supposed to follow later this year, plus channels like National Geographic HD and Food Network HD, among others. Just wondering if anyone has received theirs yet and if so, what kind of experiences you're having with it.
Thanks!

I've got the 411 (same as the 211 except a USB port rather firewire??).
I like much better then the old 811 it replaced. Nicer menus with video window. Better menu layouts and in general, faster. I don't think they are bradcasting any of the MPEG-4 channels yet, so I can't comment on that.

The cost is a bit complex, since Dish ended up changing their packages around to reflect HD programming. But the basics are that its $49 for them to install the new Dish and new receiver, and I think it'll cost me like $5 extra per month on my bill.
SmackDaddy, I'm seeing reports that the new MPEG-4 channels should be coming in now. Check for ESPN2 and I think UniversalHD. I believe you should be getting the Voom channels as well.
