HBO HD: Does it ever broadcast films in OAR?

Cropped 1.85:1 is something i can live with as it's not far away from OAR.
But a 2.35:1 movie cropped to 16x9 would be a disaster. This makes me glad I didn't subscribe to HBOHD as I was contemplating doing so.

1.85:1 films are typically opened up to 1.78:1, not cropped, and since that tiny sliver falls into the overscan area of virtually every television in existence, it's a non-issue.

I see a lot of them at about 1.85:1, as if they assume the overscan will hide the bars and people will see them fullscreen. My TV is set to zero overscan so I always see everything, sometimes I dial some in to avoid seeing ugly edges.

on HBO HD the last couple of days, they have shown both Titanic and The Hunt for Red October in their OAR. I can understand they'd show Titanic correctly, but October seems like a movie they wouldn't care to stretch.
