We have a AmazingColossalPumaMan posting. If Empire State can't use EmpireStateBuilding as a username I think you have to make a member whose name is 3 charactors longer change as well.

For Empire State and Everything Man, the names were changed for them, they do not make the choice.

So, since it hasn't been changed yet, we can still make suggestions...

My vote is for: "ACP Man" or "AC Puma, Man!"

Drink 'Til She's Cute = 21 character spaces
EmpireStateBuilding = 19 character spaces
AmazingColossalPumaMan = 22 character spaces

WHy hasn't anyone bitched about my name?

Under the "Author" block on the page, "Drink 'Til She's Cute" falls within the default width (possibly because you use lower case letters).

AmazingColossalPumaMan, however, is longer than the default width, thus pushes the message portion over to the right. Look at a thread that he has posted in, you'll see. It isn't anything major, but if several people did it, it would get annoying very quickly.

Kind of like if everybody used animation in their posts.

I'm thinking the fact that you use spaces to separate the words has something to do with it making it fit into the proper amount of space.

I have seen your username screw up the forum. I think it was during the software change though. Do you remember that day? There was even a thread asking why the just the other forum looked weird.

I personally don't care, I just figured when EmpireState saw AmazingColossalPumaMan he was gonna feel singled out, and I know that wasn't the Mods intention. Thats why I posted this in feedback and not in one of the real forums. For a change I was trying to avoid making a scene.

Bingo.

Drink 'Til She's Cute
Empire State Building
AmazingColossalPumaMan

As you can see, Drink 'Til She's Cute is the shortest (visually). The max length is right about where this name is.

I think a big part of the problem before was that is a long name with no spaces, remember we can't do that with thread titles either.

another really long name, though a completely innocent one (looks like he just used his e-mail). it bugs the hell outta me how it throws off the whole forum though...

I'm sorry but you guys need to worry about more important things, other than if a name pushes the line over.

BTW,
While we are on the subject of usernames,
Someone is posting calling himself/herself "WhoreNun".
I find this offensive as a Catholic and as a woman.
Can someone PLEASE do something about this.
Seriously.
Thank you.

I saw this to for the first time yesterday......where did this user come from all of a sudden???

I truly do not know what some people are thinking about when they register here!!! I would wager all who are signing up under some of these ridiculous user names are under the age of 20..no offense for all of you who act repsonsible and pick a user name which is not offensive but I would bet money on it!!!

Maybe we should email the "whoreNun" issue to Geoff.

If you had actually read my opening post you would know that my concern was in every member getting equal treatment. Empire State was pretty pissed he had his name changed. If he saw somebody named AmazingColossalPumaMan I am pretty sure there would be a minor uproar.
