I keep getting the same tired old "whatzamahoozits applet not found" load error when I try to log on to #other, regardless of clearing the cache on the computer and reloading the page upteen times. I even logged out and restarted the computer. This is no great emergency or anything, but I was wondering if anyone else has problems getting that applet to work?

Edited to not look like such a baby!
Details:
I am on an Earthlink dialup, running Win2k. The java chat applet will not load on http://www.dvdtalk.com/otherchat.html
using either IE 4 or Netscape 4.76.
It gets to "applet loading" and then dies. I am not running any other IRC clients, nor do I wish to.
Is this your sly way of telling us all to get a life???

Glad to see I'm not alone on this. Really wanted to chat but guess it wasn't meant to be. I could never get IRC to work for me. I've installed MIRC dozens of timess but always get really upset trying to use it nd just delete it.

The DNS tables seemed to have screwed up. Use the actual IP instead of irc.chaosunlimited.com
Fire up mIRC and connect to 209.101.28.50
(/server 209.101.28.50 )
and then you can join #other and #dvdtalk as before
(/join #other or /join #dvdtalk)
