Please report any problems with the the Dec. 7th PHP update here

Hi everyone,

We just upgraded the site to remain PHP compliant. Please report ONLY issues you believe to be a result of that here.

When you do so, be sure to include your browser, device type, whether you are using desktop or mobile skin, and any other relevent information.

Yeah, I can't see anything on my phone Samsung Browser.

It says the following

Error : Undefined constant "facebookurl" in ..../global.php(1487) : eval()'d code on line 30

I just tried the Search Forums box and it failed immediately

For example, if I enter the word "Facebook" into the search box using the Chrome browser, I get this:

Query 'Facebook' retrieved 1000 of 6320 matches in 0.018 sec. Query stats: 'facebook' found 52431 times in 30835 documents Matches: 1. doc_id=14202096, weight=1607
TypeError: join(): Argument #2 ($array) must be of type ?array, int given in ..../sphinx.php on line 489

I'm getting the same error on Google chrome on my Android Motorola phone.

I’m getting the same “Facebook” error using the Safari browser on my iPhone iOS 16.1.2

Thanks guys. We saw mobile issues on other sites and should be a quick fix

Mobile issues should be resolved (and desktop too, if you were getting those, like I did)

Looks like it works now!

Now will I ever see embedded Tweets on this browser?...
... Looks like I can!

I don’t know if it is related, but video embeds, tags (NSFW, spoiler), and post buttons (quick reply, go advance) have been problematic on my iPad (iPadOS 16.1.1, Safari, desktop view) recently. Videos do not appear and tag/post buttons do not work, but if I restart the app and reload the page, they/work show fine.

I've definitely seen the problems with YouTube embeds.

Mobile skin or desktop skin?

It's an issue for me on desktop mode via my iPad. YT embeds just show blank white spaces (Safari, if that helps). Not an issue on Chrome on my PC.

I was trying to edit my signature and I get this error message: TypeError: Unsupported operand types: string + int in ..../includes/class_sigparser_char.php on line 295

Any idea what it means? Even if I go in to edit and don't change anything, I still get that same error in "preview signature" as well as "save signature".

I've seen the YT embed problem on Safari/iPad also, and also on Chrome/Mac. Desktop skin for both.

I have not seen the problem on mobile skin on Safari/iPhone.

I’ve had that problem on the desktop version of my iPad. Basically if the quick reply box looks compressed, I know it’s not going to work until I restart the Safari app.

I have the same problem with those and with the folder links at the top. Most of the time, they don’t do anything. I have to go all the way back to the main dvdtalk page, click on forum to essentially refresh the page.

I've had that issue for a while. Using a laptop.

Yeah, it'll be compressed then update to proper after everything on the page loads. Same here. Also iPad desktop/Safari.

Getting error on first page of 94th Academy Award thread.

iPhone 13
ios 16.1
safari and chrome, desktop and mobile views
(edit — looks like it happens when non-logged in. It worked fine just now when I tested the link below and I’m logged in)

(on the left is the post, upper right is error on first page, bottom right shows I can get to other pages of the thread)

When trying to perform an advanced search for threads with Schwarzenegger in the title in the Movie Talk forum, I get the following error:

TypeError: sizeof(): Argument #1 ($value) must be of type Countable|array, null given in ..../sphinx.php on line 49

Some of the buttons don't work right (to go back to a sub forum I have to click open in new tab), embedded tweets and youtube videos don't show, and I can't click on spoilers. Oh, and I can't post a quick reply. That button doesn't work for me, either.

This is on my home PC.

I've seen the same issues, using Chrome on desktop. Sometimes reloading the page will fix it. Several reports of all these same issues within this thread.

I'm having the same problems with Edge. When I tried it yesterday it worked fine, but today it's the same as Chrome. No tweets or youtube videos visible, buttons don't work right - a real pain.

Are these just popping up now, 3 months later?

These are the same problems that have been reported for months in this thread and others. They haven't been resolved. You just have to read back in the posting histories in this feedback forum for that past 4-5 months, and you'll see the same issues reported again and again.

They started for me about 6 weeks ago. I've had a lot going on, so I didn't think about reporting them here until last week.
