Blue text in mobile site

All threads are showing in blue text now. Is this an intentional change?

I'm feeling blue too. ;)

Yeah, this color setting is quite unsettling.

Makes me want to ditch mobile mode and jump back 20 years to the retro desktop version. 😉

I want to be supportive, but yeah, I'm not digging it. It's not even a standard blue for links or that seems to match the blues already here.

Re: Blue text in mobile site

Holy god, change it back. Blue is for links, not all of the text.

I only see the new blue on the thread titles and "last post" info. Both of which are links. Is there more blue I'm missing?

Everything is blue now. I know those are clickable but not everything should look like this. It’s actually hard to read

Re: Blue text in mobile site

So, like I said, just the thread titles and "last post" info have changed? Not "everything". Maybe it would be more pleasing if the title blue on mobile matched the darker title blue on the desktop version, but other than that, meh.

Here’s the main page - that’s a lot of blue:

First time seeing this. It’s absolutely awful. In fact, it’s so visually unpleasant I almost can’t stand it.

I assume this is a mistake that will be corrected sometime Friday.

The color isn’t the best but the other changes that came with it are nice.

Re: Blue text in mobile site

Add me to the list that don't like this design overall. For my eyes it makes the read and unread thread titles even harder to distinguish.

[Edit to add]
I am on other Forums that also use Blue text in their mobile design, yet the hue is different and the balance of Blue text with other imaging overall less distracting.

This would be better if it were more balanced. Take the VUDU forums for example.

Re: Blue text in mobile site

It doesn’t bother me much really. I probably prefer the black but the blue works fine.

Not intentional and I brought it up to tech before anyone even posted about it ;)

Tech is slammed right now preparing for PHP 8 requirements, so likely it will not be fixed until after Thanksgiving, unfortunately

It's Thanksgiving weekend. I mean, do you expect them to get right on it today? Also:

There’s a mobile site?

Mainly kidding. I’m mobile only for the last decade, but have never used the mobile mode. Full desktop only here, or whatever it’s called.

Re: Blue text in mobile site

Given some things that popped up today, the text color is a lower priority (some sites are giving erros when opening a thread), but it is still on the radar

FWIW I am totally used to it now and no longer care. Put those interns to use somewhere else!

Yeah, I don't like the black now. Can't things ever stay/not-stay the same?

Goldberg74 08-10-23 04:14 PM

Re: Blue text in mobile site

This is why we can't have nice things.

(I too was shocked to see the black color back... but it's okay with me, either way.)

Sounds right to me. So hey, at least we're still alive and they are doing something!

Time to get with the latest fashion and redo the logo. In the spirit of the Big X that Twitter changed to, how about a "Big D"? Errr, wait...

At first I didn't like the blue text. Then after a while I got used to the blue text. Now not sure about the black text which I previously missed when it changed to blue text. Then again been blue text for almost a year.

Hang on - black text looks better! It’s, you know, readable.

The favicon is now just the vBulletin software logo instead of the DVDTalk logo, if that matters for branding. This is on my mobile browser, at least.
