Format change?

Re: Format change?
Which specific cookies? I'm on Chrome, and I deleted all DVDTALK* cookies, and it didn't help. Are there some 3rd party ones we need to delete too? I really don't want to delete ALL my cookies if I don't have to

Dammit they disappeared again a few hours later.
And that's after I lost all my Wordle progress with the cookies cleared, thank you very much. 😡

OK to see Twitter embeds, you have to accept the Sale of Personal Data cookies. That's not from us, that's Twitter.
Also, we don't sell personal data. The most we do is send you an email on behalf of a sponsor, which you can unsubscribe from.

Ok, I'm on chrome, I deleted all my cookies to get the cookie prompt to come back up, enabled personal data cookies, and it is in fact working again.

For a split second when I come here it looks normal and I get excited that it’s fixed, but then the page fully loads and it’s back to zoomed and to the right.

I still can't see embedded Tweets in the Mobile view. Please fix this.

And the format on mobile is still an issue.

Very weird, I use Chrome on an S21 and it's working just fine. I do occasionally have extended profiles of users that then condense down after a quick second but that's it.

Re: Format change?
So something gets broken and doesn’t get fixed?
This isn’t really an improvement we are asking for. It worked fine and now it doesn’t.

Re: Format change?
Essentially everyone but me has a hard line of "mobile skin is for mobile, desktop is for desktop". Getting ANY sort of cross-skin/platform support is typically a herculean task.

Re: Format change?
Yeah there's no option for that for me either. I do see the "do not sell my personal information link" and when I go to that it asks if I'm a California resident or not. That's it. No other option, and selecting either answer still results in the desktop skin looking like crap on mobile.. it was fine a few weeks ago not sure why it had to change.
But I guess I'm lucky I don't have your Twitter embed issue, though.

Re: Format change?
Dan and Dex, do you guys run any ad blockers? I’m just wondering if I should try that to fix this on my own.
It’s obviously something that was added to the page as it loads since I still get a split second of normalcy when I go to a new page.

I can reproduce this on my desktop PC; just resize the browser to be tall and thin, and the mobile-style banner pops in at the very top. Widen the browser again, and it goes back to normal desktop mode.

Re: Format change?
My mobile Edge browser had Ad-block enabled by default (it's built in I guess) so I disabled it, and retried. Didn't work. I also have a PiHole running on my Synology NAS, but when I check the logs, it's not blocking anything from DVDTalk or any other sites at the time I refresh the page. I tried bypassing it too, regardless, and still nothing.
Yes, this is exactly my experience. I get 1 or 2 seconds of normalcy, then it switches back to the less useful view. Seems like it's loading the normal page then reconfigures.

Thanks IBJoel. I did try this (I know sometimes people say they do, but they don't actually
) but I still don't get the cookies prompt on any of my browsers either when I'm logged in or not. It's really strange. I'm willing to assume it IS something on my end at this point, but I can't figure it out. I'll keep messing around with it.
