It's a standard rule that we have across all sites. It's basically to prevent piling on or groupthink from occurring.

Look, I really do my best to keep a cool head and maintain an even keel around here, but let me just say, are you kidding me?! This post is all sorts of ridiculous. And if you didn't know that, that's even more all sorts of ridiculous. And if you did know that before you posted it, that's pretty much the worst. I've got no patience for disingenuous interactions there. I guess I'll just have to hope you honestly didn't know how ridiculous this question is.
