So Vin are you suggesting some cat that retitled the thread and then locked it.

I am asking because I recently noticed several post in a thread just "disappear" talking about an incident yet the original offending post still remains

Not only remains but was subsequently repeated almost verbatim by the same poster despite having been issued a warning reminder by a moderator. That post also remains.

Interesting turn of events.

Re: Locking/Retitling Threads

The post was later addressed in a mod note. It would be a little strange to quote a post to tell someone not to do something when the initial post was deleted.

Not referring to moderators. Of course they would quote the offending post to explain the reason behind the admonition (well, except maybe when locking or retitling threads or removing posts ).

But seriously, referring to poster who made the comment who (after receiving a warning), reiterated the same comment when responding to a third party...and, for good measure, added that he stands behind his words.

No complaints. Just finding all this to be interesting.

It's entirely possible that the moderator in question didn't see the followup post. Did you it?

1. To repeat, not referencing moderators. Just adding pertinent information to another poster's observations in this thread.

2. No, I didn't report it, as I have said that I will not report any forum members for any comments they might make. That's my story, and...you know the rest.

The more relevant question is...did anyone else report it? Several expressed support for the same post deemed a personal attack, so it obviously was noticed (and encouraged) by other members.

Again, just observing with Marvin-Gaye-type interest.
