An easier method is to click on the "Share" icon underneath the video, then click "Embed". Simply copy the text, paste it here, and press go.

I think that works only on PCs. At least, it doesn't appear to work in iOS.

it works, you just have to request the desktop site from safari:

iOS Safari --> go to youtube --> click the address bar --> swipe down the on the bookmarks/favorites menu and you get to options at the top: "Add to Favorites" and "Request Desktop Site"

once you get the desktop site, you can do the steps described in earlier post to get the embed option / code.
