I just looked at all of the threads he'd opened - why do we have to kill the fun?

I don't get those who complain about harmless batshit posters (and for the record, this is not a direct reference to Ganesh; I have no idea if he is batshit OR harmless) who give the forum some kooky flavor.

It's against forum policy to discuss banned members but I miss, say, that ever-growing Ignore List, or the sub-literate right-wing-talk-radio ramblings, or the R-rated movies over 2 hours, etc. etc. Yet members would constantly bait these people and when they responded, people would yell and scream and cry foul and wonder why these 'trolls' aren't BANNED YET!!!

My biggest problem with these types of posters is that it derails EVERY thread they post in. If their nonsensical ramblings were contained to just the threads they start that would be one thing but actual legitimate threads get flipped upside down whenever they post. There's always the other members who love to push their buttons and get a rise out of them while the rest of us just want to discuss what the thread topic is about.
