With regard to some of the slowness that's been reported, there will be new hardware added to the DVDTalk servers shortly. If you're experiencing any slowness over the last week or so, this will alleviate that issue for you. Stay tuned, and thank you for your patience!

Got some specs for us? I love hardware pr0n. Dual E5-26xx? 48 GB RAM?

The only slowness I've noticed is with searches. If you have a user with a lot of posts it can take a while to search the database. I guess that makes sense with some users and their tens of thousands of posts.

Pages were taking much longer than usual to load at my end. I was even timed out when attempting to post on Book Talk!

I've been fortunate and haven't noticed any slow downs recently (knocks on wood), but thanks for the upgrades IB!

The DVD Talk forum was taking longer for me to load that any other forums here. I know it doesn't have anything to do with all the avatars everyone has now because it's been going on since long before the Avatars For All! happened. It will be nice when it doesn't take as much time to load as it has. Thanks in advance IBobi.

The site is moving along quite nicely for me so far ..

The only somewhat lagging I experienced was when "sending" the post ... -- Sometimes it "thinks" somewhat .. but thanks goodness at the end the posts are being sent ....

That lagging that I was talking about ... seems to be gone now .. for few days already ... -- actually, since I mentioned about it above, it's been good since then .. when I send posts now .. it's not "lagging" / not "thinking" or whatever any longer.
