I like having a mobile app as an option but I don't like having a pop up every page telling me about.

Ah, only when you go there from a mobile browser I assume. I got it once on my phone, but clicking around to other forum threads I never saw it again. Nor when I closed my browser and reopened forum.dvdtalk.com or just www.dvdtalk.com either.

I also guess you may have your mobile browser set to desktop. Mine is set to mobile and I have seen it at least 10 times in the past hour.

I have an add on the top of my browser in Safari for ipad.

Nope, i'm using Chrome and it definitely loads mobile sites for everything.

May be able to turn it off. Lemme see.

Guys I am going to move these last 2 posts -- this thread is for forum runner issues, not mobile in general.

This thread is several years old. Is this still the best app for using DVDTalk on a mobile phone?

nope.

I'm sure this thread will get locked an un-sticky'd as around the same time they figure out how to stop those annoying pop-up ads mentioned in a couple other threads.

The "mobile" website is the only option now.
