Damn, a lot of removed gifs. No explanation as to why?

I've moved your post here as I think the gif thread is for gifs and raising issues inside it regarding moderation could take it off topic and maybe move it closer to being closed by those who keep an eye on it.

Although not au fait with what has gone on this time, my understanding is that previous threads have been closed because of repeated contraventions of the spirit or the letter of the dvdtalk.com forum rules.

It strikes me those responsible for performing a clean-up were almost certainly better serving the interests of those dvdtalkers who'd like to avoid such threads from being prohibited as too time-consuming to police because of a minority of envelope-pushing scoff-laws.

EDIT: actually, now I look into it, the mod explained what was removed. There may be several bits of the rules that indicate grounds for such action but even if you choose to debate it there's...
