I'm starting to build up an older component system (from the early 90's) and think it would be great if there was a separate section to discuss older equipment (pre 5.1 / non home theater days when audio equip. was used primarily for listening to music).

Just start an "Official..." or "The One and Only..." vintage components thread in the current forum. I think that's as good as you're going to get... or deserve (can't imagine there's enough interest for an entire subforum).
