This is generally the least reliable site of the ones I regularly visit. Iwasn't on last night, but things have seemed better for me lately.

DVDTalk's forum will be down for maintenance at 11PM tomorrow for about an hour. This is a change in site architecture to help us diagnose the current performance issues.

That's cool, I guess I was just thinking about the banner that appeared everywhere, but maybe that's based on time.

Edit: nevermind, I thought it also appeared on the user control panel where I spend most of my time. Apparently not. Carry on.

The announcement is global and will appear at the top of every forum until it expires tomorrow.

^Same here except for this morning. So far it's been very snappy. Last night was sloooow.

<s>However, I'm still having to refresh pages every half dozen or so to get a page load to complete. I've gotten so used to doing this it's almost become second nature on the site. I had to do one for the first page I hit here this morning although I don't recall having to do so since...</s>

Since typing that this morning I've had *no* further issues today. The entire site seems better today. Loads complete, updates to posts are fairly quick, and new posts are very fast. Maybe it's now fixed.

Got some big "database errors" Sunday afternoon so I avoided the site for a while

Just tried to access the site from scratch, IE8 took several minutes trying to complete the connection, then finally gave up. Did a Diagnose Connection Problems and the forum came right up. -kd5-

Things are quite snappy on my end tonight! The best it's been in a very long time both with page loads and creating/editing posts.

Forum seems more responsive now, navigation is much faster, posts only take 3 or 4 seconds to actually post now instead of the 10 seconds or longer it was taking before, edits take about a second or 2. I hope this lasts!:thumbsup: -kd5-
