Did you win any of the DVD contests?

How many DVD contests are there for premium members? Might be worth it, as a form of gambling.

I think there's a new contest every fortnight for one or more DVD/BDs.

I'd become a recurring member in a heartbeat if I could sign up for $10/year.

$20 seems too much, but $10 for an avatar picture on a forum I use daily would be worth it.

I'd like to renew at $10 but had to cancel my subscription because I kept getting double charged every year. Now, of course, I wish I hadn't (and that Paypal was less opaque on the subject).

The coupon code listed on the renewal page, GWR-10G45, doesn't work.

My situation as well. Like practically everyone else here I just naturally assumed the coupon code would work as it has every year.

Add yet another to the ever-growing list of people who would gladly come back at the $10 price point.

I was a premium member for two years, participated in most of the contests and didn't win diddly. Most of the giveaways were pretty obscure releases as well, from what I recall (and never a blu-ray, although that's probably changed now).

They had some BDs. I won 1 contest the whole time and of course it was just a regular DVD no BD. But I was still glad I at least won something.

Add me in as another that'd join at $10, but not $20.

I've made sure that IB are aware of the conversation here and will post any feedback from then as and when.

I'd also renew at $10. It's not happening at $20.

Yeah $10 but only if there is no breastfeeding in the otter forum. They can take it to book talk.

Another pay system that would work for me:

$20 for twenty-four months.

That would work out to $10 per year and the management wouldn't have to worry about trying to get me to renew for two years, instead of one.

Or give them two top hats at $20 per year :p

So.

Mods.

What does the ratio of members pledging they'd pay $10 per year vs. members who currently pay $20 per year need to be in order to make IB actually pay attention and implement $10 per year premium memberships?

Thanks. :)

I hate to say it, but that certainly seems to be the case. I wonder how many premium members there are actually left at this point.

IB have been made aware of the member feedback and will respond as and when.

For now, I can see this thread descending into either an IB bashing fest or else a mod/admin inquisition by members that we're simply in no position to respond to as we're not in possession of any salient facts. So...

... until we have some data, I feel that the sensible option is for me now to close the thread.
