One thread one season in TV Talk?

TVtalk is cluttered with threads for each show per episode, many of which have only one or two replies. I think the forum would be much more streamlined if there's only one thread per season and if need be a part II so be it.

I'm sorry, I didn't think there'd be already discussion about this. I just saw the related thread below, don't know how I missed it when I scanned the first page. Feel free to lock.

There's been discussion of this before.

Individual threads for each episode help to serve as a reminder for those who might not know if an episode is new this week or not. I've used it like that a bunch of times myself. Also, individual episode threads help save episodes from being spoiled. One big thread for a show might lead to all types of spoilers, as generally people don't visit the episode thread until they've actually watched the episode.

Agreed, for most shows, one season-long thread would be kind of disinviting to those unable to watch as shows air, and episode-specific threads keep details where they belong.

Some of the lesser frequented shows do have season threads, and Djariya includes that in the thread title.

Otherwise, I don't see much of a problem with the number of threads, as Djariya and the other OPs are very standard and specific when titling them. It is pretty easy to find what you are looking for in that subforum.

I fully endorse a discussion board without discussion threads.

Good points all. It would be awesome though if forums in general had an expand/collapse feature where there could be sub-threads for each individual episode. You click on a "+" next to "The Office season 6" and then underneath would pop up all the episodes for that season.

Good luck with that.

I like it just the way it is now, thenk-you-veddy-much.

And, if a show thread is one of the "many of which have only one or two replies"? Shit, they'll be gone by tomorrow afternoon, then. Don't sweat it.
