I was going to ask in The Official Why Was This Thread Closed thread why this thread was closed instead of moved...but then I discovered that thread, too, has been closed! I realize that thread wasn't about bargains, but several posters raised legitimate questions about digital copies and the last post deserves an answer about how digital copies can be (legally, legitimately) transfered from one computer to another. I can PM that person, but that doesn't help anyone who might look for this information.

No one discussed any illicit activity and everyone played nice, so it seems to me that someone ought to relocate the thread (Tech Talk, perhaps) and re-open it. And if there's some reason aside from it being in the wrong place it was closed, I would appreciate knowing what that reason is.

I closed it strictly because it was in the wrong spot. It did not occur to me to move it to Tech Talk, which I have now done.
