Another user created a user name extremely similar to mine
I noticed today that another user created an account with the user name CardiffGiant (no space) while mine has been Cardiff Giant (space) for a good period of time before this user created their account. I don't have any issue with someone using a similar account name but to me the exclusion of a space is just too similar (i wouldn't have an issue if there was a number or something to differentiate them). Can something be done to distinguish the two accounts? I'd prefer to not have to alter mine since I had it first but I'd be willing to do so if need be.
I'm sure it was not an intentional thing on behalf of the other person but it's just a little too similar for me.

not a hoax see here http://forum.dvdtalk.com/10038467-post1335.html
Notice that poster is CardiffGiant (no space) and joined in 2005 while mine is Cardiff Giant (space).
Like I said I'm sure the guy isn't trying to impersonate me or anything but I was looking at the forum today and one of the last posts in the main forum view was by him and i saw it and thought "hmm i don't remember replying to this thread" so I first thought my account was hacked. Luckily that's not the case but is there something we can do to differentiate the user names so there's no confusion? Like I said, even though I'd prefer not to change my name since I had it first, I'd be willing to add numbers at the end if necessary if we can't get the other guy to change his name somewhat.

We should have a Card-iff-off to decide who gets to keep the name. I propose a series of 100 challenges, each designed to test both mind and body. At the end of the series of challenges, the loser will have to have their user name changed to TallWelshmanMe.

I appreciate the OP bringing this to everyone's attention. I imagine there's many who now need to make the necessary adjustment to their ignore list.

Although you seem to have co-existed peacefully for five years, I can see that this might cause some unease.
Would it be better if you had more spaces or underscores in your member-name so as to accentuate the difference to casual readers?

I had never noticed that you were two different people.
Maybe you can change your username to "Dr. CardiffGiant" to make the difference more noticeable.

I'd be fine with changing my user name to Cardiff Giant11 to help make things clearer.

This is like that scene from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country with the 2 Kirks.
