Black dropdown box w/ forum listings on front page with yellow text...
gets a huge thumbs 
from me. much easier to read. don't know if this is permanent or temporary but I like it.
and now it's back to white within the matter of seconds. weird. wonder if something rendered weird or if it was an actual change. oh well. back to being disappointed.
