Re: The New Forum Look

One big banner for DeepDiscount.com. The rest of the clutter is gone (links to reviews and other announcements, etc).

I don't know if this is a temporary thing during the DD sale, or permanent. I like this layout better.

Re: The New Forum Look

I kind of do also because I would impulse read reviews that I wasn't thinking about before.

Re: The New Forum Look

Weird, I haven't noticed any change. I don't see any difference in the forum pages.

Seems like the same scrolling. What makes that less?

Re: The New Forum Look

I think he is referring to if you use an adblocker it eliminates the whole top now so the first thing you see is the forums so you don't have to scroll down as much. To be honest using a blocker or not I prefer the old way.

Re: The New Forum Look

I turned off my adblock and the headlines still don't show up (they used to before even with it on). I think something is broken.

Re: The New Forum Look

I would think its just temporary since the banner is taking the place of the reviews and headlines for now.

Re: The New Forum Look

I don't have adblocker, and I still see the DeepDiscount.com ad (the banner is in fact even bigger now than before). The section with the links to reviews and announcements is now gone, and that started only yesterday. I'm using Google Chrome.

Re: The New Forum Look

Now the big banner is gone too, replaced by a tiny link "Buy Stuff Here". This is a welcome trend

Re: The New Forum Look

There isn't even a DVD Talk logo.

I don't have any ad blockers. The whole header is gone.

This is what I was always hoping for out of a premium membership on the site... no ads, no stupid headlines that i never click, etc.
