Who wants Negs & Reps?
I think it'd be cool if we had a neg & rep system at dvdtak similar to bodybuilding.com It'd really help to figure out if some users are regular threadcrappers that don't add anything of value to a topic. I'd love to be able to give neg points to someone and also rep points to someone. I think it'd also keep the discussions much more fun (just cus most people would try to avoid arguements in fear of negs). What do you think?

it'd probably get abused. however, something like this might be nice for dvd traders. of course, then Mao would be out of a job.

Well, this is a feature that can and will be abused. We recently had to boot a member off another forum, for abuse of this type of feature.

I do not think this is a feature we will turn on. I see it on other sites and ignore it. You click on a thread and read it based upon the subject or the first post, not because people decided it was worthwhile or not worthwhile. What one person thinks is good, another thinks is bad. You need to decide on your own.

Part of me wishes there actually was a way to rate folks that are consistantly annoying or post useless stuff, but I can see how the system would be abused and not particularly useful for the forum's overall function.

Right now, the results are 1011 against negs to 1 for negs.
It looks like it's an overwhelming majority. Sorry, DeltaSigChi4.
