So it's been a while, what do you think of the new management?
I know everyone was up in arms when the announcement was first made, and the subsequent "rough" transition, but now that the dust has somewhat cleared, what do you think?
Are we better off, worse, the same?
Any changes you like, dislike, still waiting to see?
Do you wish it had never happened? Wish it had happened sooner?
I'm curious what everyone now thinks.

Do you see that as a positive?

Makes no difference to a peon like me.
I do miss the adult forum though.
Edited to agree with Superman07 - a mobile version or an iPhone app would be keen.

I'd love to see a mobile version. Avatars just make loading pages on the go even slower.

Nothing's really changed. No big deal. I'm sure people will continue to whine about things and how "Geoff wouldn't have done that!"

Adult forum was gone before the buyout wasn't it?

Adult forum was gone as a transition thing. Geoff started his porn site and was redirecting traffic to it for the transition.
IB has yet to contact me about my omniscient will for the forum, so I still have a low opinion of them.

I think the review end of the site is better for sure. We're running a newer version of vBulletin for the first time in I don't know how many years, and long-bandied-about things like premium membership has finally taken off.
There are advantages and disadvantages of going corporate, but I think DVD Talk is pretty much the forum it's always been, and...really, I think that's what Internet Brands wanted, so mission accomplished.

What's this Internet Brands I keep hearing about? That sounds like a made up name.

Lets see. Pictures/posts/gifs are removed with no notification, or consistency.

Nothing significant has changed. It would be nice to have some premium features that are actually useful in some way, but at least the site hasn't gone downhill.

I'm digging most of the changes. As long as we don't get any other intrusive advertising changes, I'm a happy camper. And IB-Dick has been great. Very attentive and keeps us updated.

No problems with new management. Really, it hasn't seemed like that big a transition. All the same mods, rules and crazy folks in this forum continue to make it a worthwhile place to hang out.

I think IB has done a fairly good job with the transition. There was some learning curve in the beginning, but they've been adapting well to the concerns of the community and they've kept lines of communication open and have been improving on them in the past months. It's not the same mom and pop feel you had with Geoff, but with anything there are pluses and minuses. The plus would be some of the new features IB has added to the site. Another plus would be as a company, they have more resources at their disposal than Geoff did in my opinion.
Anyway, I'm still here, so they couldn't have done that badly.
Most of the folks I like to talk to here are also still here, and honestly, that's what keeps me coming back most of all. For me it's all about the community of posters here.

I think IB has been a lot more responsive and attentive than people had feared. I persoanlly didn't notice much of a change, which means they must be doing something right.
