Why aren't studio representatives members Here?
It would be nice to be able to ask questions about certain releases such as where the heck is Green Acres season 4 or Leave It to Beaver season 3.

I remember in the heyday of DVD Talk-Paramount had a rep here.

I certainly wouldn't know, but my guess would be that there's more than a reasonable chance they got tired of the bitching. Much easier to browse anonymously instead of announcing yourself and sinking into fanboy hell.

I don't know about that. People here bicker back and forth, but compared to other places everyone here is quite cordial. It would be nice to have someone to bounce things off of though.

They probably also can't just reveal their plans until the studio is ready to do so.

I'm sure they're lurking, taking notes and making plans...
"Ok so they want all the "Friday the 13th" films uncut... Ok, well, we'll just do the first one this time around. Then when all the <strike>suckers</strike>... "fans" buy the latest round of releases, we'll put out Part II uncut."

I remember him. His title was even "Paramount Rep." Yeah, we would get all excited when he posted.
We've had some big-time DVD Producers who would post from time to time. One of the best in the biz, David Prior, last posted in the "Zodiac" thread. Since he was the one producing it, he was nice enough to join in the conversation.
Charles de Lauzirika is another big DVD Producer who used to post here on occasion but I haven't seen him post in a long time.

I would like to see a rep from WB here and explain why they have the biggest animation library(mainly Hanna Barbera) of any studio and only put out only a handful of those titles a year. Maybe they afraid of making money.

Martin was awesome. I used to work with him all the time. Glad to hear he's still awesome.
And hey, we got Howard the Duck, so I think we've done our bit for god and country for the next few years.

We definitely have studio people here. I don't want to oust people, but for the most part, I think they don't want to go out and announce it to everyone on here for obvious reasons.

Yeah, I'm sure they'd have full PM inboxes with nothing but outlandish requests, so going incognito makes sense.
