Why doesn't HTML work anymore?

What the heck? I just posted something in the Premium forum and it just displayed the HTML code.

<a href="http://www.whitehouse.gov">Testing</a>

But it seems to work here...

That's an option that can be set on a forum-by-forum basis. Existing forums like this one were probably grandfathered in, but it might default to 'Off' when new ones are added. I'd bet that's the case here. You'll probably get a response before too long saying that it's been flipped on (or it'll be flipped off in all the other forums...one of the two ).

Yikes. Hope it's not flipped off. I hate specific forum code.

Speaking of HTML, why will this post correctly here:

<a href="http://glyde.com/collections/the%20infidel#display_as=2" title="check out my collection at glyde.com"><img src="http://ww.glyde.com/images/badges/button-100x24.png" width="100" height="24" border="0" alt="see my collection"></a>

...but not in my sig?

I'm guessing they don't allow HTML in sigs.

Because images aren't allowed in sigs.

Adam is 100% correct. Generally, html isn't allowed in forums... but it's easier to turn it on for one forum than shut it off in 20 and deal with the fallout. It's been turned on.
