Can subscribing to threads be made a one click process?
Always seemed sort of silly to require the confirmation.
I guess there is a danger of accidental subscriptions, but it is incredibly easy to unsubscribe from a thread.
I imagine it is a forum setting, or perhaps can be made a user setting?

Lots of other forums are one-click (guess it might be two) only to subscribe. Is this an option in vBulletin?
Are there legitimate reasons to make it a three click process?

Re: Can subscribing to threads be made a one click process?
Trevor,
I just checked, and there are no settings regarding the ability to disable the subscription confirmation page. If I could easily make this change, I would. There may be a plugin out there that will do this, and I'll look when I get some time.
I have my account set up with automatic subscription with "no email notification", which means that any time I reply to a thread, I'm automatically subscribed to it without notification. Then, if there is ever a thread that I want to be notified about on replies, I can select that option from my list of subscribed threads. Might that setting help you?

Just always seemed wasteful to me, that extra click or two. Hopefully a plug-in will pop up someday.
On the settings, I have it set to 'always subscribe'. I interact with the forum almost exclusively through those email notifications. I pretty much never 'browse' the forum.
